Requirement: Matalan, the UK's fastest growing fashion retailer, wanted to celebrate the opening of its150^th store with a large gift of a brand new canteen and recreational building for employees at its head office in Skelmersdale.

The company wanted to show its appreciation to staff for the hard work and dedication that had helped Matalan achieve its superb growth and success.

Solution: Portakabin was chosen to provide the new two-storey building, which was designed and constructed in eight weeks, providing more than 530m² of floor space.

The Matalan philosophy is to provide high quality at reasonable prices. The company was looking for exactly these qualities in its new building for staff, and was struck by the excellent environment provided by Portakabin buildings.
