Requirement: As part of its contract with one major customer in Manchester, leading UK haulier James Irlam Logistics provides an on-site shunting and distribution service. To operate this, a dedicated team was needed on site at the customer’s busy Trafford Park depot. With no suitable permanent building available, James Irlam Logistics needed to find a high-quality office building to house its staff on the site.

Solution: After requesting quotes from a number of suppliers, the company decided that Portakabin offered the best solution. James Irlam Logistics had used Portakabin buildings in the past, so knew about the quality of accommodation available.

Given a choice of building types, the company selected a Pacemaker building as the ideal solution for the number of staff it needed to house. As well as general office space, the building was fitted out with a staff area, kitchen and toilet. Portakabin delivered the building on the agreed date, it was installed and connected up, and the team of five staff were able to move straight in. It now provides a high-quality working environment for this busy transport office.
