Customer: Farcliffe Family Centre

Location: Manningham, Bradford

Requirement: A need for additional accommodation to form a Children's Centre at Bradford Council's Farcliffe Family Centre was identified. The centre would meet the Government's aim of offering good quality childcare and a range of additional community services in disadvantaged areas. The funding was only available for a limited time, so the centre had to move fast.

Solution: Our specialist architects designed a Lilliput children's centre that could be attached to Farcliffe's existing Victorian building, providing day-care accommodation for up to 50 children, aged from six weeks to five years old. The building also incorporates a parents' room, staff room and kitchen. Once the new centre had been designed and agreed, work on site was completed in a matter of weeks.
