Requirement: Evobus, part of the Daimler Chrysler Group, is a German company that manufactures buses and coaches. Its UK daughter company - Evobus (UK) Ltd - conducts sales and maintenance activities from its bases in Coventry and London.

When the German parent company announced a short-term project at all of its daughter companies, the UK firm in Coventry needed to find accommodation for a number of German staff who would be working at the site for the duration of the project. With no spare capacity in its exiting offices, the company needed to find a quick way to provide high-quality offices for its visitors.

Solution: Portakabin was chosen to provide complete office accommodation for the visiting project workers. The modular building supplier was able to offer a robust, high-quality building, fully kitted out with desks, chairs, cupboards and even air conditioning. Evobus also hired an access ramp to make the building accessible for everyone. The building and all the extras were installed by Portakabin with minimal disruption to Evobus's day-to-day operations.

The complete facilities met Evobus's needs perfectly. So much so, that the company returned to Portakabin when it needed yet more accommodation. Its Coventry premises were becoming full to capacity, and its existing canteen facilities had to be converted into additional office space to house the company's growing workforce. Portakabin was called in to provide another fully fitted building - this time to house a canteen and rest areas for the company's busy staff.
